Something About Me

Welcome to Foodie Flavors. 

Hi Friends, 


I am a Gujrati girl, born and brought up in Mumbai and now married to a Bengali staying in Singapore. Being a gujju, I love to eat Dhoklas, Khnadvis, Khaman and all typical gujju stuff including sweets. After getting married to a Bong, started eating Chicken and now I m hooked to it. Love eating Labda, Mooger dal, Chechki, Ghonto, Mishti Doi, Rolls, Phucka, etc....

Growing up in Mumbai street food was major part of my life. and love for street food continued after marriage as Kolkata is heaven for street food lovers. 

After staying in Singapore for 8 yrs now, I am exposed to many new cuisines. Have tried Japanese, Chinese (Original), Local singaporean food, Malay, Thai, Western, Korean and many more.  I like to cook  dishes that are simple, easy to make and as authentic as possible. 

Here on this blog, I am trying to document all the recipes I have learned from my Mother, my MIL and from all food blogs, especially Indian food and the cuisines I have tried in Singapore for easy reference. Also want to learn 

I am fairly new to blogging, sharing my recipes tried and tested ones for all of you to try out. Please do share your concerns or dbouts any recipes here, will be glad to help.
